TFH Softball Tournament Benefit

Teaching Family Homes (TFH) has begun a new legacy with their inaugural Slowpitch Softball Tournament Benefit. The idea was sparked in 2025, taking place on Father’s Day weekend, June 13th -15th at Hurley Field in south Marquette. The goal: Get the community involved in the righteous cause of raising money to support at-risk youth and families in need in Northern Michigan.

The tournament yielded over $2000, and our team anticipates an even greater turnout next year. With the support of sponsors like Superior Charters, Fish Supply, Black River Fishery, McCabe’s Flooring, Cal’s Party Store, and The Compund Ski and Board Shop, TFh achieved success with this epic new annual fundraiser. It goes to show that all it takes to make a difference is some participation and gusto. TFh hopes the 2026 tournament has more teams and more sponsors, allowing them to help more Upper Peninsula youth in need! The funds raised from events like these go straight to quality of life for youth that we aid.

If you love the idea of this tournament and want to get involved, go to our contact page, and reach out. Whether you’re looking to register a team, become a sponsor, or simply volunteer to help, we would be happy to have you.
