Western Families First is an in-home, crisis intervention program operated by Teaching Family Homes and operated by Angella Paulson. The program services Houghton, Ontonagon, and Gogebic counties. It provides intensive services to at-risk households, preventing child removal due to abuse or neglect by focusing on safety, skill-building, and preserving the family unit, often working with families at imminent risk. Western Families First pulled in the most units seen in years and is absolutely thriving. 
 
Central Family Assistance Program and Eastern Family Assistance Program are the Family Assistance Programs at Teaching Family Homes. These programs are managed by Elisabeth Martini. The Central Family Assistance Program operates in Menominee, Dickinson and Delta Counties, while Eastern Family Assistance Program services Chippewa, Luce and Mackinac counties. They are a supportive, in-home services designed to help families develop goals that lead to a safe and healthy home environment. These programs primarily focus on family preservation, working to help families by providing direct support and skill-building within the family unit. The programs are operating at or near max capacity.
